Hi ya'll,
Pascal here
Pleased to say that USA Today has reviewed my latest book The Remedy.
Would love to hear from you on the following:
What did reviewer get right? What did he get wrong?
Review wasn't totally sold on the doodles in The Remedy
Are doodles and images a good way of communicating ideas? Why or why not?
I think doodles and images are a great way of communicating ideas. And I find the ones in Pascal's book totally delightful! But then....maybe I'm a little bias....I am Pascal's wife! :-)
ReplyDeleteBut a few quick thoughts...
Using doodles and images...
- do communicate ideas and express emotions
- create an emotional appeal
- are expressing ideas in a different way (good to be different)
- combining words and images thoughtfully can deepen their meaning. For example: Look at illustrated children's books to see how images and words strengthen each other. (can ya tell I'm a teacher?)
