Traditional / Conventional Leaders
Traditional Leaders work in a Command & Control mode – Do as I say that teaches people to do nothing until they are told what to do so no learning occurs.
Dr. Deming said that one of the roles of Leaders was to drive fear out of the organization. He meant the fear of failure or the fear of making mistakes. This fear stifles creativity and becomes a barrier to improvement.
