Ingredients to Short, Effective Meetings

By Al Norval,

For each meeting, have a clear:
- Purpose
- Process (agenda)
- Outcome

If you can’t answer these questions, then the meeting degrades into “Management by milling around”.

Start and end meetings on time. Don’t recap if someone arrives late. If they missed something important, they can find out after the meeting.
When applied properly, meeting time can often be cut in half.
